DETERMINATION

METHOD

Stateful Throughput DeterminationDetermination of the maximum forwarding rate under stable NAT/firewall forwarding conditions using RFC9411 stateful throughput benchmarking principles. Measurements shall be performed separately for IPv4 TCP and IPv4 UDP traffic at all mandatory Ethernet frame sizes.
TCP Connections Per Second (CPS) DeterminationDetermination of the DUT capability to establish and maintain TCP connections using RFC9411 TCP connection-rate benchmarking methodology. Includes characterization of TCP state-management behavior under controlled connection-establishment conditions.
Concurrent TCP Connections DeterminationDetermination of the DUT capability to maintain concurrent TCP sessions using RFC9411 concurrent-session benchmarking principles. Includes verification of session stability and session-state maintenance behavior.
HTTP Throughput DeterminationDetermination of forwarding behavior under HTTP/1.1 traffic conditions using RFC9411 HTTP throughput benchmarking methodology. Includes evaluation of application-traffic forwarding stability and throughput consistency.
NAT/Firewall Stability VerificationVerification that the DUT maintains stable stateful forwarding operation during benchmark execution without connection instability, forwarding interruption, abnormal session termination, or DUT instability. Methodology aligned with RFC9411 operational benchmarking principles and PT operational requirements.
Session Integrity VerificationVerification of TCP-session continuity, successful connection establishment, session persistence, and traffic integrity during benchmark execution using RFC9411 session-validation practices.
Reproducibility and Repeatability AssessmentEvaluation of internal measurement consistency and interlaboratory reproducibility based on repeated benchmark execution and statistical comparison of participant results. Methodology derived from RFC9411 benchmarking discipline and PT statistical evaluation procedures.
